Corin Forest has dual 350 metre long recreational flying foxes.
These "zip wires" allow you to descend some 36 vertical
metres in as little as 18 seconds. They are the longest recreational
flying foxes in Australia.
The highest standard of design and engineering, their siting, and
the descent through magnificent alpine ash forest makes them an
outstanding, and breathtaking experience for all ages!
Each rider is harnessed, and connected to the wire by stout carabeenas,
which themselves are attached to the "carrier" - a dual
wheeled, high speed bearing assembly. The maximum riding weight
permitted is 85kg.
In the knowledge that you cannot become detached from the "zip
wires", thrill to the rush of mountain air as you fly through
tall timber to a clear landing in the valley below.
Staff are on hand to render any assistance and guidance required
at the start and finish of your flight.
Due to the aftermath of the 2003 bushfires, considerable damage
(caused by falling trees) has been incurred to our flying fox.
Before repairs can be carried out the flying fox is closed until
further notice. Reopening will be advised on this website.
